- Nearly everyone else but you has a Website.    Just what are you waiting for?

OK let me confess.   I might be one of the worst cases of Plumbers wife syndrome there is.  I did begrudgingly secured my CFI Domain about 12  years ago but I did not do justice to it putting up only a book mark of a web presence.  For years and years I protested and told myself and others "I do not need a website and I do not need to come up with Google search organically as I am a computer repair shop and if their computer is broken how are they going to go to Google to search for me?"  Sticking instead to paying $2300 per month in AT&T yellow page display ads and Fiest Yellow Book display ads.  About 3 years ago even I noticed a real fall off in my call volume and sales of about 1/3 of my business from new customers.  While I, Rip Van winkle, was asleep the younger generations and even the moderately senior generations changed the way they do things.  They still used directories of a sort but they used Online Google Search primarily.   Evidenced this by the fact that my 29 year old son doesn't even own a computer anymore.  Oh he uses the internet, text messaging, search and all that.  He uses his Smart phone provided by his job to text, search for minor things and he uses his work PC for big research projects.  I researched the field and I found that my son is exactly representative of his generation and younger as far as what is going on it Americas businesses today.

My Yellow pages representatives have confided in me that Yellow pages are truly dying.  They said they expected it but no way had they planned it to happen this fast and this drastically.   Now all the Yellow book companies trying desperately to become webpage management and Google optimization specialist.  A recent appointment I had with my agent replied when I asked about the future of my yellow page display ad "We won't even take you there we want to move you into higher growth margin business. Let us manage your Google for you."
